Each month NHS trusts monitor their performance in the delivery of care bundles, and report it nationally to NHS England. Using this data, NHS England are able to monitor the standard of care delivered to particular patient groups. NHS England has developed the Ambulance Quality Indicators: Clinical Outcomes Specification, which outlines specific care bundles. The care bundle provides key components of assessment and management that must be undertaken for each patient who is showing signs/symptoms of either a STEMI, stroke, sepsis or in post-ROSC care, allowing best evidence-based care for the patient.
